Pinot Noir

Its clusters are small, with small berries as well, dark violet skin, sweet flavor, and high coloring capacity. In warm climates, it loses its complexity and elegance, which is why it has primarily acclimated to Catalonia. Young wines display an admirable richness of fruity aromas (raspberries, strawberries, violets, redcurrants, cherries, and cassis), and their tannic structure is light, producing medium-bodied wines with refined and subtle sensations on the palate. The wine is smooth, fresh, fruity, and delicate. Visually, it shows a bright opaque color (ruby and violet tones) that evolves with aging into medium-layered tile hues. Sometimes, with time, its tannins become bitter, and it develops vegetal, spicy, vanilla, and licorice aromas. It is considered one of the most select varieties in the world for producing varietal wines.
