Nebbiolo

The nebbiolo grape is one of the main red varieties of the Italian Piedmont and the protagonist of some of the finest wines from its denominations of origin in Langhe, Barolo, Barbaresco, Roero, Gattinara, or Ghemme. This variety produces pale-colored, tannic wines with a distinctive aroma of roses and tar. As the wine ages, it gains richness with notes of orange peel, violets, cherries, currants, truffles, tobacco, or prunes.
