General Information

Its balance, freshness, and intensity make Roger Goulart Rosé Brut 2023 a unique cava that leaves no one indifferent. Since 1882, Roger Goulart has been distinguished for producing high-quality sparkling wines, and this rosé brought to you by the Club is a great example of their expertise and excellence.

Two of the most representative Mediterranean red varieties, garnacha and monastrell, with a small contribution from the delicate French pinot noir, were meticulously selected by the technical team at Roger Goulart to create this harmonious coupage. In the winery, production was carried out following the traditional champenoise method, culminating in 18 months of aging on lees in the stillness of their underground cellars, 30 meters deep.

Roger Goulart Rosé Brut 2023 is a rosé sparkling wine from the D.O. Cava that is perfect as an aperitif and as a companion to fish and light meats. Its undeniable quality has earned it, vintage after vintage, a good number of important awards such as gold medals at the Berliner Wein Trophy or the Sakura Wine Awards, and silver medals at the International Wine & Spirit Competition and the Mundus Vini competition, among others.

Tasting notes

Roger Goulart Rosé Brut exhibits a striking and intense pink color with very vivid and bright hues.

On the nose, it is a meaty and very powerful wine, characterized by intense aromas of red fruits with a background of gummy candy and red licorice. The nose is intensely marked by notes of red fruits with a background of gummy candy and red licorice.

On the palate, it is intense, fresh, and with a slight sweet touch. The fairly lively acidity it exhibits does not detract from its elegance. Marked sensations of red fruit and a persistent finish.

Winemaker

The cultivation of vines at the Masía de Can Goulart dates back to the 18th century, specifically to 1882, when the Canals family acquired the cellars, making it one of the first sparkling wine producers in Spain. The Canals family still owns the cellars today. Its impressive 1920 building, designed by architect Ignasi Mas Morell, is a prime example of Catalan agrarian modernism and one of its main attractions. Roger Goulart does not own vineyards nor produce the base wine, although he closely follows the entire process. To craft this Brut Nature, he uses the classic trio of regional varieties (Parellada, Xarel.lo, Macabeo), which each contribute distinct qualities: structure, silkiness on the palate, and aromatic finesse.
