General Information

The century-old winery Bouchard Père & Fils crafted Bouchard Père & Fils Gevrey-Chambertin Village 2020, a brilliant single-varietal pinot noir with the same dedication and care used in their premiers and grands crus that have made the brand renowned worldwide.

With a powerful nose and great aging potential, this red wine originates in the heart of the Côte de Nuits, specifically in Gevrey-Chambertin, the same commune from which mythical wines of Bouchard Père & Fils such as the legendary Chambertin-Clos de Bèze Grand Cru, revered by none other than Napoleon Bonaparte, hail. Drawing on its nine generations of winemaking tradition and nearly three centuries of history, it created this Bouchard Père & Fils Gevrey-Chambertin Village 2020, a more accessible pinot noir but of exceptional quality, particularly exquisite to pair with all kinds of red meats, whether roasted or stewed, and aged, full-bodied cheeses.

Tasting notes

Intense and perfumed nose with fruity aromas and an animal note.

Pleasant structure and fleshiness on the palate with good aging potential.

The winery

The French commune of Beaune has been home, since 1731, to Bouchard Père & Fils, one of the oldest maisons in the Burgundy region. The property boasts a castle built by Louis XI in 1482 and one of the most impressive winegrowing heritages in the area: 130 hectares of vineyards in the legendary Côte d’Or, 12 of which are Grand Cru and another 74 Premier Cru.

Combining tradition with the latest technical advancements, the winery has managed to preserve its essence and the exceptional quality of its wines, making them indispensable references of Burgundy. Diversity is another hallmark of Bouchard Père & Fils, reflected in the different appellations under which it produces its creations, including Chevalier-Montrachet, Montrachet, Corton, Corton-Charlemagne, Meursault Genevriêres, Gevrey-Chambertin, Chassage-Montrachet, and Beaune.
