The Vallisoletano Carlos Moro (1953) is the founding president of Bodegas Familiares Matarromera and an essential figure in Spanish wine. His original winery, Matarromera, is already a legend and an icon of Ribera del Duero. With a degree as a Senior Agronomic Technician, a master's in Oenology and Viticulture, and descending from a family with a long winemaking tradition, his vocation was clear.

Carlos Moro was an Agronomic Engineer at the Ministry of Agriculture, Deputy to the Secretary General of the Spanish Federation of Food and Beverage Industries, and Agro-industrial Expert at the F.A.O. In the 1980s, he also served as an Engineer at the Directorate General of Agrarian Industries. Likewise, he was Secretary General of the Technical Association of Aeronautical Material Constructors, as well as Head of the Aeronautical Industry at MINER and a Member of the Intergovernmental Airbus Committee. In 2016, he received the National Research Award granted by the Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness.

Ribera del Duero, it includes Bodega Matarromera, Bodega Emina, and Bodega Renacimiento. In the D.O. Rueda, Bodega Emina. In the D.O. Cigales, Bodega Valdelosfrailes. In the D.O. Toro, Bodega Cyan.
