Borgogno No Name 2022 is an unclassifiable wine. Born as a protest by the Borgogno winery against the excessive regulation and bureaucracy of the D.O.C.G. Barolo, this 100% nebbiolo red wine underwent, after a moderate production process, aging in Slavonian oak barrels for 3 years, followed by an additional 2 years of bottle aging. The result is a sober wine with intense aromas that reveals itself as voluminous, velvety, and generous. A true discovery.

Borgogno No Name 2022 comes from vineyards in the Barolo area, in the heart of Langhe (Piedmont), at an altitude of 370 meters. They are located on calcareous-clay soils with a southern orientation, influenced by a continental climate that brings freshness and structure to the fruits. The nebbiolo vines are cultivated using the Guyot system with a density of 4,000 plants/ha and sustainable viticulture, which gives the wine great aromatic complexity and elegant tannins.
Spontaneous fermentation in cement tanks for about 15 days at controlled temperatures (22-28 ºC), followed by a gentle pressing. Aging for over 2 years in large Slavonian oak barrels, respecting the Borgogno tradition and achieving a balance between fruit and spicy notes.
Giacomo Borgogno & Figli, founded in 1761, is one of the historic houses of Barolo. Today, under the Farinetti family, it maintains a philosophy based on authenticity, sustainability, and respect for the terroir. No Name was born as a protest against the bureaucracy of Barolo DOCG, becoming an icon of freedom and quality.
Borgogno No Name 2022 pairs well with red meats, game, braised dishes, traditional stews, and aged cheeses. It also harmonizes with international cuisine such as bourguignonne, souvlaki, or teppanyaki.
Borgogno No Name is an intense ruby red wine with violet reflections. Elegant nose with aromas of rose, violet, fresh fruit, and spices, accompanied by notes of jam and herbs. Dry, fresh, and balanced on the palate, with firm tannins and a long, persistent finish.
