It presents a delicate and complex nose, with a range of fruity aromas and spicy notes, along with a palate of silky tannins and an elegant and persistent finish.
Livio Felluga was one of the great pioneers of the wines from the hills of Friuli, considered the great father of viticulture in this region. He founded the winery with his own name, Livio Felluga, during the 1950s of the last century. Currently, the firm is led by the sixth generation of the family, producing great wines from vineyards on their estate of more than 160 hectares. The Livio Felluga winery is one of the most emblematic houses in the northwest region of Italy and one of the great wineries of the Alpine country.
For the production of this red from the I.G.T. Venezia Giulia, the grapes are harvested manually at their optimal ripeness. Once in the winery, the selected grapes were delicately destemmed and subjected to gentle pressing. Subsequently, alcoholic fermentation was carried out at a controlled temperature in stainless steel tanks, where part of the wine also aged while the other part did so in small French oak barrels. Once bottled, Livio Felluga Vértigo 2021 rested in temperature-controlled rooms for refinement. The result is a fresh, powerful, and fruity red that pairs perfectly with flavorful first courses, meat main courses, veal and pork roasts, and medium-aged cheeses.
Livio Felluga Vertigo boasts a beautiful ruby red color.
On the nose, it is delicate and complex, with aromas of wild strawberry and blueberries that blend with notes of cocoa, sweet spices, cinnamon, tobacco, and custard.
On the palate, it is smooth and seductive, with a silky tannic component. Notes of pink grapefruit and red plum appear, culminating in an elegant and persistent finish, with spicy and citrus aromas.
