Bobal

The clusters are large and irregular, very big and with shoulders. The berries are medium-sized, round, and juicy, blackish in color with freckles. They produce wines with intense cherry tones (sometimes violet, thanks to the high amount of coloring matter), aromas of blue flowers (sometimes vegetal), low in alcohol (11º), and fruity, with high acidity. Wines from old vines benefit from barrel aging, where their boldness is softened.
Weaknesses
Resistant to climatic adversities and pests, and very productive. It is sensitive to mites and powdery mildew. Due to its morphology, it is also sensitive to botrytis.
