Climate
The climate is Mediterranean, with a diversity of microclimates depending on the altitude. The trade winds provide the necessary humidity for vine development. The average annual temperature is 19 ºC, and annual rainfall is around 540 mm.
Soil
The soils consist of ashes and volcanic rocks in the higher areas (reaching up to 1,400 meters in altitude), and clayey in the lower areas (descending to 50 meters above sea level).
