Campo de Borja
Its production area is located in the northwest of the province of Zaragoza, in the Campo de Borja region. It comprises 16 municipalities, spans an area of 6,270 hectares, and includes 15 registered wineries. It was granted the designation of origin status in 1977. The average altitude of the vineyards ranges between 350 and 700 meters above sea level, the soils are limestone-rich and nutrient-dense, and the climate is continental with annual rainfall between 350 and 450 mm.
Climate
Extreme continental climate, with cold winters and very hot, dry summers. The cierzo (a cold and dry wind from Moncayo) has a powerful influence. Scarce rainfall.
Soil
The soils are predominantly brown-limestone, terrace, and clay-ferrous.
