Concurso Internacional de Vinos Bacchus

The Bacchus International Competition, organized by the Unión Española de Catadores, is considered the best competition to assess the quality of Spanish wines, although it is open to wines from all over the world. Bacchus is the only competition in Spain recognized by the OIV (International Organisation of Vine and Wine) and is a member of VINOFED (World Federation of Major International Wine and Spirits Competitions). It is held annually in Madrid, where more than 1,500 wines are evaluated by a hundred experts over four days.

Jury
Among the jury of the competition are distinguished experts such as Masters of Wine, influencers, journalists, Masters of Sommelier, or enologists: a lineup of top-level national and international professional judges who evaluate the wines following the applicable rules of the OIV/UIOE.
Contestants
The contest is open to wineries from all producing countries.
