The wine region of Mosel stretches from the border of Luxembourg to the north of Germany, following the course of the Saar, Ruwer, and Mosel rivers. Its more than 7,000 hectares of vineyards make it the third-largest wine-producing region in Germany by volume. Additionally, it enjoys the highest international prestige.
The dominant grape variety in the area is riesling, which accounts for nearly 60% of the vineyards. The vineyards grow on terraces on slopes with angles around 50º, forming one of the most stunning wine landscapes in the world. Adding to this the challenging climatic conditions, the great effort of the winemakers must be acknowledged.
