It is located in the western part of the province of Zaragoza, at the confluence of several tributaries of the Ebro River. It encompasses 46 municipalities in the Ebro Valley.
Climate
Semi-arid and dry climate, with cold winters and an average annual temperature around 12 – 14 ºC, with marked thermal differences between day and night during the grape ripening period. Rainfall ranges between 300-550 mm per year. The risk of frost extends over 6 months.
Soil
Limestone soils, composed of slightly rounded stony materials and accompanied by red clays.
