Created in 1976, the Challenge International du Vin is recognized as the oldest of the major international wine competitions and the largest international wine competition organized in France. It takes place every year in spring, over two days, in Bourg (Bordeaux, France), where more than 5,000 wines from nearly 40 countries compete. It holds ISO 9001 version 2008 certification, which guarantees the seriousness and technical expertise of the organization.

Organized by the CDV (Concours Des Vins - association under French Law 1901) located in Bourg, near Bordeaux (France), with the aim of selecting and promoting the best wines in the world.
Jury
Composed of approximately 800 expert tasters of different nationalities.
Contestants
Wines and spirits of viticultural origin from around forty countries worldwide.
