Grant Stein
Professional career
The Scotsman Grant Stein studied Law in Edinburgh. Together with his wife, Anne, he founded the Scottish Wine Society. He has chaired the board of Walkers, one of the most important law firms in the world. After his legal career in Scotland, he decided to make his dream come true: to start his own winery. Thus, in 1997, he began searching for vineyard land in different countries, ultimately deciding on the Spanish region of Toro due to its immense potential. In Toro, he acquired the largest plot of old vines in the denomination, and after developing the necessary infrastructure, he inaugurated his winery Estancia Piedra in 1999.
