Familia Muga

Family
The Muga family is currently led by the third generation at the helm of the family business. The winery was founded in 1932 through the entrepreneurial initiative of Isaac Muga and his wife, Aurora Caño.
Description of their own wines
Our wines combine tradition and modernity, being a true reflection of unique climatic and orographic characteristics, which give them a distinctive personality.
Professional career

The current president of Bodegas Muga is Isaac Muga, affectionately called Isacín. However, it was his father who began working as a winemaker in 1980 at another winery: the centenary La Rioja Alta S.A. The Muga family started their own winemaking business in 1932 in a modest winery located on a central street in Haro, but in 1970 they moved to the famous Barrio de la Estación, to a new and beautiful winery. Currently, the third generation is in charge: the children of Isacín and his late brother Manuel. Jorge and Isaac, sons of Isacín, are the winemakers. In other areas of the winery are their cousins Manuel (vice president), Eduardo, and Juan.
