Passionate about the varied terroirs of Castilla y León, our philosophy is based on a clear ecological approach to vine cultivation and the utmost respect for the grape during the production and aging processes; always with the aim of obtaining wines with a clear fruity expression, structured and long-lived, with a balance between fruit and wood, opulent, elegant, and sensual.
Professional career
One of the most awarded enologists in this country, despite his young age. His career is enviable, as he has worked in such renowned wineries as Château Cos d'Estournel (Bordeaux) or Ridge Vineyards (California) before joining this family project. His education includes degrees in viticulture and enology from the most prestigious schools in Bordeaux, Lycée Agricole de Blanquefort and Faculty of Enology, as well as from Spain: Escuela de la Vid y el Vino de Requena; along with internships and work stays in wineries in Bordeaux, Burgundy, and California. Since 2001, Eduardo has managed and directed the family projects, which include Bodegas Mauro (Tudela de Duero) and Maurodos (Toro), where he produces wines such as Mauro, Mauro VS, Terreus, San Román, and Prima. In addition to his personal initiatives in Ribera del Duero (Astrales) and Bierzo (Paixar).
