Tinta francisca
Rather red in color, this grape has a high sugar content and soft tannins. It is known for its sweet fragrance but has a lower concentration than other varieties from the Douro basin. Tinta francisca thrives in granitic soils with a slate base and good drainage, and grows best in Mediterranean climate conditions.
