Created in 1969 by Anton Massel, a chemist specialized in wine, International Wine & Spirit Competition - IWSC is one of the oldest and most renowned wine competitions in the world.
Jury
The wines are classified into their tasting categories by the Tasting Managers, experts with over 27 years of experience in the industry, at the WSET academy, and with winemaking credentials.
The competition works with some of the most eminent wine professionals in the world, including Steven Spurrier, Sarah Heller MW, John Hoskins MW, Alex Hunt MW, Dirceu Vianna Junior MW, and Mick O'Connell MW.

Awards
The IWSC awards are given to outstanding creators across a variety of categories, including grape varieties, different spirits, design, and packaging. They also present trophies to the best producers from each region, as well as recognizing individuals and companies that have excelled within their sector over the previous year.
The wines awarded the prestigious "Trophy" are announced at the IWSC Annual Awards Banquet gala dinner, held at the Guildhall in London.
