Raventós i Blanc Textures de Pedra 2019 is one of the most unique sparkling wines from Raventós i Blanc. The ultimate expression of three Mediterranean red grape varieties (xarel·lo vermell, sumoll, and bastard negre) and the stony soil of Vinya Més Alta, the vineyard in Penedés from which it originates.

La Vinya Més Alta, a plot of stony soils located at the top of Turó del Serral, not only lends its name but also all its uniqueness to Raventós i Blanc Textures de Pedra 2019, an exceptional sparkling wine with concentration and great structure.
The prestigious Catalan winery led by Manuel Raventós Negra once again demonstrates its expertise in an unprecedented blanc de noirs made from almost extinct red grape varieties: xarel·lo vermell, sumoll, and bastard negre (also known as baboso negro). The precise vinification they underwent, with a long aging period on lees of at least 48 months, makes it a noble sparkling wine with great aging potential.
The winery
Josep María Raventos i Blanc has left an indelible mark on the world of Catalan wine. Not only was he one of the key figures behind the unstoppable rise of Codorníu – he left the company in 1982 – he was also the mayor of Sant Sadurní d'Anoia and president of the CRDO Cava. In March 1986, barely a week after founding the winery that bears his name, a heart attack ended the life of Josep María during a trip to New Zealand.
The estate where the winery is located spans 90 hectares and has belonged to the family for more than five centuries. The facilities, designed by architects Jaume Bach and Gabriel Mora, won the FAD architecture award in 1989. In less than 30 years, Raventós i Blanc has become one of the most influential producers of cava and still wines (with D.O. Penedès) on the national scene.
