Its clusters share the same characteristics as those of its white counterpart, the xarel•lo: medium-sized and compact, with medium-large, spherical berries. The difference lies in the fact that the xarel•lo vermell has a thicker skin, which allows for a slightly later harvest. It is precisely this thicker skin that gives the wine made from this variety a striking pale pink hue, close to copper. Due to its qualities, this type of grape is used for the production of fresh, light, and lively rosés, whites, and cavas, with a characteristic final bitter touch typical of the variety.
