Bodega Callejuela

Callejuela is one of the most dynamic and interesting young wineries in the Jerez region. Founded in 1980 by Francisco Blanco Martínez, a laborer for more than 20 years in the area's vineyards, the winery is located in the heart of the Barrio Alto of Sanlúcar de Barrameda. In its early years, it sold almost all its production to other wineries.

In 2005, under the management of the founder's sons, José and Francisco Blanco, Callejuela bottled its first manzanilla and, in 2015, renewed its image, launching a small collection of new wines alongside others produced since its inception, such as Quinario, El Cerro, Blanquito, and La Casilla. It was also in that same year that the winery decided to introduce the Pedro Ximénez variety to its vineyards, which until then had only been planted with palomino fino. Currently, it owns 28 hectares of vineyards with 100% albariza soils, located in the areas of Jerez de la Frontera and Sanlúcar de Barrameda. These vineyards produce wines of marked individuality, increasingly appreciated by critics and the public.
