Valparaíso Crianza 2023 is produced under the guidance of Rubén Provedo, a winemaker with experience in bodegas of the calibre of Tobelos or Numanthia. It originates from 100% Tempranillo vines over 30 years old. It will be enjoyed to the fullest by enthusiasts of red wines with high concentration and freshness.
Are you looking for a crianza with structure and length to accompany a fine meal? Valparaíso Crianza 2023, from the D.O. Ribera del Duero, responds with a 100% Tempranillo aged for 14 months in French oak barrels.
The grapes come from vineyards with an average age well over 30 years, planted in calcareous-clay soils and marked by a continental climate, with long and very cold winters and short and very warm summers. This combination promotes a slow maturation and a balanced expression of the fruit, very much in line with the character of the region.
Bodegas Valparaíso works from a vision that unites tradition and precision, with a classic production based on destemming and maceration with the skins. The result is a red wine that clearly reflects the winery's style and the identity of Ribera del Duero.

Bodegas Valparaíso was founded with the idea of creating modern and high-quality wines. For this reason, production is kept at a very low volume, aiming to produce authentic wines from Ribera del Duero. The winery has the capacity to produce 300,000 bottles annually.
Its journey began in the year 2000 in Quintana del Pidio (Burgos). The facilities are located on a hill overlooking the village and are supplied by 60 hectares of their own vineyards, mostly planted with tempranillo, some of which date back to the early 20th century and are planted in goblet style.
This old vineyard is located near the winery in Quintana del Pidio, while the new trellised vineyards are found in some of the most highly regarded areas of the appellation: in Pesquera (Valladolid) at an altitude of 925 m, and in Sotillo (Burgos) at 825 m. The grapes from each vineyard ferment separately, and the blending is done at the beginning of the aging process. In the barrel room, French oak (25%) and American oak (75%) coexist.
