QS2 is a wine with a cherry red color and violet edges. Medium layer. Very fresh on the nose, complex, and with a pronounced fruity character. It shows good intensity of red fruits such as cherries and raspberries wrapped in flowers over a background of white pepper and spices. On the palate, it begins with a sweet attack, a silky, caressing texture that leads to a very fresh and fruity wine marked by currants and a broad floral memory. The finish is tasty, long, and with a marked minerality.
Quinta Sardonia has been part of the Terras Gauda Group since 2010. Located in the Ribera del Duero, Quinta Sardonia focuses on producing wines that reflect the character of the terroir, based on biodynamic principles. To achieve this, it relies on an estate with 22 hectares of its own vineyards in Villabáñez and Sardón de Duero (Valladolid), with fifteen different calcareous-origin terroirs.
The vineyards extend along the south-facing slope of the Duero River at an altitude between 760 and 830 meters, and they feature seven grape varieties: tinto fino (tempranillo) and the international grapes cabernet sauvignon, syrah, petit verdot, malbec, merlot, and cabernet franc.
Quinta Sardonia is the most international winery of the Terras Gauda Group, with export levels exceeding 70% of the production of QS, QS2, and Sardón. The main sales destinations are Denmark, the United States, and China.
