Elegance, sophistication, and high quality. Gramona III Lustros Brut Nature Gran Reserva is one of the finest sparkling wines crafted by the Gramona family. From the exceptional Paraje Calificado Font de Jui come the precious xarel.lo and macabeo grapes that are the protagonists of this wine, which aged for 8 years on its lees. This aging period is significantly longer than the standard and clearly sets this wine apart in terms of quality.
Established in 1881 in Sant Sadurní d'Anoia, the nerve center of cavas and sparkling wines, Bodegas Gramona has rightfully become a true classic. Managed by the fifth generation of the Gramona family, the winery stands out for its dedication to tradition, the artisanal nature of all its processes, and the exceptionally high quality of all its creations. Thanks to its balance, creaminess, and freshness, Gramona III Lustros Brut Nature Gran Reserva pairs beautifully with a wide variety of culinary options, from starters like jamón ibérico or foie, to hearty dishes and stews like marmitako, as well as paellas, risottos, white meats, seafood, and fish.
The Gramona family represents five generations of winemakers. Since the mid-19th century, they have been working their lands in Sant Sadurní d’Anoia (Barcelona), and today they produce sparkling wines under the prestigious Corpinnat quality label, as well as still wines under the umbrella of the D.O. Penedès. Few wineries have made such significant contributions in recent years to elevate Spanish sparkling wines to the level of the great champagnes.
The sparkling wines of Gramona, crafted by Jaume Gramona, one of the foremost experts on bubbles in our country, achieve remarkable levels of elegance and are characterized by their extended aging periods. These sparkling wines, which garner prestigious international accolades, are made following artisanal processes: natural cork stoppers during aging, riddling racks for clarification, and manual disgorgement.
The Gramona family operates under a biodynamic philosophy across approximately 303 hectares. Of these, 72 hectares are owned by the family, while the rest come from Aliances per la Terra, a viticulturist association founded in 2015 and led by Gramona, which adheres to environmentally respectful practices. In 2014, Gramona obtained the Demeter certification, which guarantees biodynamic farming and winemaking for each wine. A few years later, in 2018, it became the first winery on the Peninsula to receive the BIODYVIN biodynamic certification. The Biodyvin label is a highly demanding certification, specific to the wine sector worldwide, and certifies biodynamic practices in both viticulture and winemaking (winery).
