General Information

Vineyards of garnacha cultivated in slate soils, cariñena planted in clay soils, and syrah from limestone soils form the base of Can Blau 2021, a red wine of great complexity that has aged in French oak barrels for 12 months. Among the qualities of this red from Montsant, the fruity aromas, its power, its meatiness, and its concentration stand out.

Cellers Can Blau was founded in 2003 and is one of the oldest projects of the Gil family outside Jumilla. The winery is located in El Molar, in the heart of the D.O. Montsant. The brand works with the varieties cariñena, syrah, and garnacha, cultivated in soils of different orientation, composition, and altitude, resulting in wines with great richness and complexity.

The structure, fruit, and depth of Can Blau 2021 make it a very versatile red that pairs perfectly with rice dishes with game meat and creamy textures, grilled white and red meats, stewed legumes, cured and blue cheeses, mushrooms, game and poultry, fish and shellfish in sauce, smoked dishes, and roasts of lamb, pork, and beef.
