Champagne Deutz

Deutz is one of the historic maisons of Champagne. Founded in Ay in 1838 by William Deutz and Pierre-Hubert Geldermann, the house owns 42 hectares of vineyards in some of the most important areas of Champagne, including the renowned Côte des Blancs, with nearly 80% of its wines coming from Grand Cru and Premier Cru plots.

Tradition defines the style of Champagne Deutz, with the use of reserve wines, crafted in-house, for blending. This results in refined, elegant, and consistent sparkling wines, alongside a commitment to long aging, in some cases ranging from 7 to 10 years.

Since 1983, after generations under the Deutz and Geldermann families, the house was sold to the Rouzaud family, owners of Louis Roederer. Today, Champagne Deutz produces 2.5 million bottles annually, exporting part of its production to more than 40 countries.
