Billecart Salmon is one of the few grandes marques of champagne still owned by its founders. Since 1818, seven generations of the Billecart family have ensured that their name is synonymous with greatness and elegance, as their sparkling wines have remained at the elite level of French wines from the very beginning. Notably, their Billecart Salmon Brut from 1959 was named Best Champagne of the 20th Century at the famous Millennium Tasting in Stockholm held in 1999.
The key to Billecart Salmon's success lies in its vineyards. And not only in those they own (32 hectares) but also in those they manage (140 hectares). In total, 700 completely distinct plots that allow them to maintain the highest quality levels harvest after harvest. Another crucial factor is the careful selection of the dosage or expedition liqueur that Billecart's winemakers add at the end of the production process.
