Coastal Region
Coastal Region is one of the six wine regions included in Western Cape, something similar to a geographical indication like Vino de la Tierra in Spain. Within its area, there are seven districts recognized as Wine of Origin, a designation similar to a Spanish denominación de origen, which includes the areas of Cape Point, Darling, Paarl, Stellenbosch, Swartland, Tulbagh, and Tygerberg.

Variables, depending on the area where the viñedos are cultivated, although the most valued are those of limestone.
Location
Established northwest of Cape Town, the Coastal Region appellation encompasses various South African vineyards.
