Red Wine Roble

If a wine is labelled as ‘Roble’ it means that it has been barrel aged for a short period of timem normally between 3 and 6 months at the most. This is not regulated in most Denominaciones de Origen and wineries simply state this on the label so that consumers know that the wine has been aged in wood, but in some it is an official category according to the ageing period and has its own back label.
