Professional career
Belonging to the new generation of winemakers with a broad international vision, Pablo Ossorio (1972, Ponferrada - León) has worked in wineries in different countries, such as Italy and Argentina. In Spain, in 1997 he began working as a winemaker at Bodegas Murviedro, and today he already has extensive experience as a producer in various wine regions: Rías Baixas, Bierzo, Ribera del Duero, Toro, La Mancha, Valencia, Alicante, Utiel-Requena, etc. In June 2022, he joined the winemaking team of Grupo Marqués del Atrio as a technical advisor.
In addition to his work as an oenology professor, he has been the coordinator of the Technical Committee (Processes) of the Wine Technology Platform (PTV), a member of the Technical Committee of the Spanish Wine Federation (FEV), and a member of the Technical Council Expert Committee of the Spanish delegation of the International Organisation of Vine and Wine (OIV).
