Description of their own wines
Marta Chicote was born in Burgos and joined Bodegas Borsao in 2000. Since then, she has built a solid professional career grounded in perseverance, dedication, and a love for nature.
With 26 years of experience as an oenologist, her primary goal has always been to achieve the ultimate expression of each wine. She advocates for a winemaking approach based on observation and listening, convinced that every wine possesses its own unique personality and a story to tell. As she puts it: “Each wine evokes different memories and beautiful moments. Tasting can be a thrilling experience, as it engages the senses and awakens memory.”
She has been a member of the Regulatory Council of the Campo de Borja D.O. (Designation of Origin) since 2005.
Training
She holds a degree in Oenology and a master's degree in the same field from the University of La Rioja.
She also holds Higher Technician qualifications in Analysis and Control and in Food Industries.
