We strive to convey the importance of the Valdeorras soils with their characteristic slate, as well as the result of meticulous vineyard work aimed at offering wines with depth and the ability to inspire emotion.
Professional career
The Prada Gayoso family has been cultivating a collection of pezas (vineyards) in the village of Portela since the late 19th century. According to sources from the Orense-based winery, Valdesil is "a family winery located in inland Galicia that, with the oldest Godello vineyards in the world, has placed the wines of Valdeorras in the most influential restaurants internationally."
