Vijariego Negra
The clusters are medium-sized and loosely packed, with small, oval-shaped berries and bluish-black skin. The wines have a powerful tannic structure, making them robust, lacking in fleshiness and elegance, with limited aromas (featuring complex volcanic notes of ash and gunpowder) and good alcohol content. It is a very interesting variety for blending, contributing its strong tannic character to the mix.
Weaknesses
Sensitive to grapevine moths and powdery mildew.
