Gewürztraminer
The grapes are of a characteristic pink color, with intense aromas and a citrus flavor. In cold climates, they achieve a good amount of sugars. Gewürztraminer wines are dry, with floral (roses) and fruity (lychees, passion fruit) aromas. They produce wines that range from very dry to sweet, as it is a variety with a high natural sugar content. Quality sweet wines are made with grapes affected by botrytis (noble rot), in late harvests, resulting in spectacular outcomes. Gewürztraminer wines pair perfectly with Asian cuisine.
