Barbera

It is considered, after sangiovese and montepulciano, the third most planted red grape variety in Italy. The barbera vine stands out for its vigor and high yield, and its fruits are characterized by an intense color and high acidity, producing wines with an intense and fresh aroma of blackberry, cherry, blueberry, and raspberry. The best wines made from this variety belong to the D.O.C.G. Barbera d'Asti.
