The red wine that changed the way of looking at La Mancha
In the heart of La Mancha, where for decades the viticultural potential was underestimated, a project was born with the aim of transforming everything. From carefully tended vineyards and a clear philosophy of quality, El Vínculo Crianza 2023 represents the union of family heritage, regional identity, and a very honest way of understanding wine. A glass that speaks of origin, consistency, and excellence without artifice.
El Vínculo Crianza 2023 is a declaration of intent: to demonstrate that La Mancha can offer wines of exceptional quality, balance, and personality. Made solely with Tempranillo—known locally as Cencibel—this red reflects the expertise of a key family in the Spanish wine scene, Familia Fernández Rivera, with a recognisable style and a clear ambition for excellence.
The bodega El Vínculo was established as a tribute to the union of the two Castillas and in memory of the grandparents of this family. From Campo de Criptana, this project marked a turning point in the region, championing the value of its vineyards and its capacity to produce serious, honest, and well-structured wines. Under the umbrella of one of the most influential dynasties in Spanish wine, El Vínculo has played a decisive role in elevating the prestige of La Mancha.
Overall, El Vínculo Crianza 2023 is a safe choice for those seeking a red with character and reliability. Perfect to accompany roasted meats, traditional stews, Iberian charcuterie, or matured cheeses, it has also received acclaim from critics in previous vintages, establishing itself as one of the leading names in its category. A wine that you feel like opening today… and again tomorrow.
Consumption features
Pairing
El Vínculo Crianza 2023 is particularly suited to grilled Lamb Chops, roast lamb, veal cheeks, or a good grilled fillet. It also pairs well with partridge or wild rabbit.
Service
While many Crianza wines can be enjoyed immediately upon opening, El Vínculo Crianza 2023 becomes more expressive if given some air. As it is a 100% Tempranillo with 12 months of ageing in American oak barrels, it is advisable to serve it calmly and, if you wish to better highlight its aroma and structure, decant it an hour before serving.

Vineyard
Age
Discover a wine made from old Tempranillo vines, with an average age of 50 years.
Climate
The sun shines directly over these vineyards in Campo de Criptana. The altitude, ranging between 650 and 750 metres, and the south-facing orientation create a dry and very sunny climate. The terrain, semi-flat and gently sloping from north to south, promotes slow and balanced ripening of the Tempranillo grape.
Viticulture
While many productions rely on younger vineyards or more intensive interventions, El Vínculo Crianza 2023 originates from Tempranillo grown in old dry-farmed vineyards in D.O. La Mancha, on soils of mixed sandy and clayey composition and in a south-facing area. This approach to viticulture follows a traditional method, focused on the natural balance of the vine and using a raw material of high concentration, with the added value of working plots with an average age of 50 years and covering 52 hectares.
