Valdelosfrailes is another of the interesting initiatives developed by Carlos Moro, the Castilian-Leonese entrepreneur who steers the helm of the Bodegas Familiares Matarromera group. Another of his projects along the great flow of the Iberian Peninsula, the Duero, which seeks to revive a designation of origin characterized by the production of rosés and now demonstrates that this land also produces magnificent reds like Valdelosfrailes Reserva 2015.
Founded in 1998, Bodega Valdelosfrailes' commitment to renewal and production using modern technologies allows them to obtain modern reds within the D.O. Cigales. Their wines are conceived from a meticulous selection of the best grapes and are crafted in the integrated winery the company has dedicated to its vinifications.
This Valdelosfrailes Reserva 2015 we now present to you is made only in the finest vintages from specially selected tempranillo grapes from old bush-trained vineyards, harvested by hand. An exceptional red with a limited production of just over 10,000 bottles.
It displays a cherry color with purplish hues.
On the nose, it develops clear aromas of ripe black fruit, with elegant Chinese ink.
On the palate, it is fresh, intense, with excellent body and structure, yet fine and elegant. Flavors of black fruits, elegant roasted notes, and mild spices stand out. Elegant and intense finish.
