Teira X 2024 is a white wine made from grapes sourced from the Miñoteira estate, a vineyard belonging to the colleteiro winery Adega Manuel Formigo, located in the D.O. Ribeiro. Made from treixadura (cultivated on 40-year-old vines), alvilla, albariño, and loureira, planted on granite soils, it is an intriguing white wine with a wide range of aromas and an elegant, fruity palate with splendid acidity.
Teira X 2024 is a magnificent white wine that unmistakably embodies all the characteristics of a classic Ribeiro: elegance, freshness, and good acidity. Made from selected vines of the treixadura variety (55%) with 40 years of age, its balanced blend is completed with equal parts of alvilla, albariño, and loureira varieties.
To produce the Ribeiro Teira X 2024, after a meticulous selection on the vines, Adega Manuel Formigo carried out a manual harvest of the clusters, which were quickly transported to the winery in tractors carrying less than 1500 kg, in order to preserve their integrity to the fullest. Once at the facilities, a gentle crushing was performed, followed by pressing the fruits to extract the must. The winemaking process concluded with the alcoholic and malolactic fermentation of the wine in stainless steel tanks, resulting in a balanced Galician white wine full of freshness, complexity, and elegance, with a delicate and pleasant acidity.
Teira X 2024 is a wine under the D.O. Ribeiro, ideal to enjoy as an aperitif or paired with brothy rice dishes, seafood, and grilled white fish.

Adega Manuel Formigo is a colleiteiro winery established in 2006 in the town of Beade, in the province of Ourense. The small family business of the Formigo de la Fuente family produces, as stipulated by the D.O. Ribeiro regulations, less than 60,000 liters per year of wines made exclusively with grapes from their own harvest.
The vineyard of Adega Manuel Formigo is mainly divided into three plots (Miñoteira, Portela, and Pousos) along the banks of the Avia River. There, on predominantly rocky, loose, and well-oxygenated soils, the winery practices what they call “granite viticulture”, where native varieties such as godello, torrontés, loureira, albariño, treixadura, caiño, tintilla, ferrol, sousón, or brancellao, sourced from the oldest clones in the area, take center stage.
The winery's facilities are located on the ground floor of the old family home of the Formigo de la Fuente family. Using traditional techniques passed down from generation to generation, they produce high-quality wines under the D.O. Ribeiro, faithfully expressing the typicity and terroir from which they originate.
