General Information

Raventós de Alella Pansa Blanca 2024 originates from vineyards cultivated on sandy soils, poor in nutrients and highly permeable, which allow the development of an extensive root system. Meticulous viticulture was complemented by a winemaking process that included whole grape pressing and a very slow fermentation at controlled temperature. The result is a magnificent white wine with intense aromas of white and tropical fruits, full-bodied, with vibrant acidity and a very long finish.

Raventós de Alella is a winery located just 20 km from Barcelona, nestled among old vineyards and beautiful forests in the inland coastal range that separates the small D.O. Alella. This area has a long tradition of producing white wines, where the Catalan winery settled with the aim of harnessing the enormous potential of the region's native variety: pansa blanca.

Raventós de Alella Pansa Blanca 2024 (D.O. Alella) is a wine that pairs splendidly well with vegetables, salads, fish, rice dishes, and fruit-based desserts.

Tasting notes

In appearance, Raventós de Alella Pansa Blanca displays a beautiful yellow color with greenish reflections.

On the nose, its intense and fruity aromas stand out. A straightforward wine with notes of white fruit, light tropical hints (pineapple), and floral undertones.

On the palate, it presents volume and a long aftertaste.

The winery

Raventós de Alella is a winery nestled among old vineyards and forests in the interior of the coastal mountain range that divides the small Denominación de Origen Alella. Founded in 1981, when the first vintage was produced, the philosophy of this winery, integrated into the Grupo Raventós Codorníu, is based on extracting the essence and maximum expression of the area's quintessential variety: pansa blanca (xarel·lo).

Alella is a region located 20 km from Barcelona, under two microclimates; one warmer, on the coast, and another cooler in the interior. It is characterized by nutrient-poor soil, with low water retention and moderate pH. This sandy and permeable soil texture, known as ‘sauló’, allows for the development of an extensive and deep root system in the vineyards, ensuring good tolerance to prolonged droughts.

Innovative and avant-garde, Raventós de Alella develops wines with an international vocation and in constant evolution, with the utmost respect for the raw material, the environment, and the identity of the production area.
