A gastronomic and eco-friendly cava for stylish celebrations
Parxet Brut Reserva 2022 is an elegant and fresh cava (and vintage) born in the Alella area. Xarel·lo, Macabeo, Parellada and Chardonnay blend with a rested ageing and a lot of personality. Perfect for celebrations... and to accompany almost any menu.
Parxet Brut Reserva 2022 is a cava that stands out for its fine and luminous character, the kind that only well-crafted sparkling wines can offer. It is produced with Xarel·lo, Macabeo, Parellada and Chardonnay, from manual harvest, whole-grape pressing and a careful fermentation to preserve all its freshness. It then rests in bottle for the necessary time to develop that elegant ageing profile.
In its origin there are vineyards planted over the sauló, the sandy soil typical of the area, with vines trained on a trellis and the oldest ones in goblet form. That combination provides balance and a highly recognisable personality, with plots tended with care and a selection that gives meaning to the whole.
Parxet is a family winery with centennial tradition, closely tied to Tiana and the underground cellars where its cavas age slowly. Its approach to wine blends respect for the traditional method with a contemporary outlook, always attentive to the vineyard and to detail. Thus is born Parxet Brut Reserva 2022, a cava with the soul of a historic house and a friendly spirit.
Consumption features
Pairing
Parxet Brut Reserva 2022 goes especially well with Iberico ham and oysters.
The vinification aims to produce clean and precise base wines, faithful to the classical blend of Xarel·lo, Macabeo, Parellada and Chardonnay, through whole-bunch pressing that preserves the fineness of the must and a controlled-temperature fermentation at 16 °C, within the traditional sparkling-wine method that characterises the winery. This work in the winery seeks to maintain freshness and the varietal expression before the final assemblage.
Aging
Parxet Brut Reserva 2022 has a minimum ageing of 20 months in bottle. The cavas age in the estate's underground cellars at Tiana, following the traditional production method.
Vineyard
Description
Parxet Brut Reserva 2022 is sourced from vineyards certified organic and biodynamic, located in Torrelavit and Font-Rubí, cultivated at a density of 3,700 vines per hectare, trellised and bush-trained on the older vines, with short pruning. The sandy soils of the Alella area, known as sauló, and the Mediterranean climate provide the ideal framework for a manual harvest and careful winemaking. The blend combines Xarel·lo, Macabeo, Parellada and Chardonnay, a selection that reinforces the fresh, expressive and elegant profile of this cava.
Climate
Parxet Brut Reserva 2022 originates in Alella, north of Barcelona, where a Mediterranean climate prevails, softened by the proximity to the sea. That combination of moderate temperatures and vineyards on sandy soils of sauló favours a slow ripening and brings freshness and expression to the wine.
Viticulture
Parxet Brut Reserva 2022 comes from vineyards of certified organic and biodynamic farming, worked with hand harvest, short pruning and a trellis system, reserving the goblet for the oldest vines. Grown on the sandy soils of “sauló” characteristic of Alella and with varieties such as Xarel·lo, Macabeo, Parellada and Chardonnay, it reflects viticulture respectful of the environment and oriented to preserve the freshest, most precise expression of the vineyard.

Parxet is a benchmark winery in the production of cavas and the most important one in the small D.O. Alella (Barcelona). A family-owned company with a centuries-old winemaking tradition, characterized by its innovative spirit. In fact, it was one of the first brands to market a Brut Nature (1965). The history of Parxet begins in the 18th century, when the Suñol family acquired the Mas Parxet estate in Tiana, starting winemaking activities there. However, it was not until 1918 that this winery began producing cavas.
In the mid-1980s, Parxet merged with another of Alella's most important wineries, located in the municipality of Santa María de Martorelles and dedicated to the production of white wine. Thus, Parxet S.A. has a dual identity: in Santa María de Martorelles, a winery with modern facilities surrounded by its own vineyard, where the base wines for the cavas and the white Marqués de Alella are produced; and in Tiana, the modernist building Mas Parxet, where the bottle aging of the cavas takes place in the underground cellars built in 1918.
At Parxet, they work following the traditional method of sparkling wine production, starting with the selection of vineyards and adhering to the strictest respect for the natural product.
