An old airén vineyard almost 40 years old planted on sandy soils, at an altitude of 400 meters, is the origin of Paraje Las Encebras 2023, a warm yet fresh wine from Bruma del Estrecho de Marín. The Jumilla winery once again demonstrates its mastery of native varieties in this white made from the almost extinct airén, from which they have managed to extract its full potential thanks to a unique production method, with its skins, which also included 6 months of aging in glass demijohns. Delve into the world of 'orange wine' with this limited-production airén monovarietal.

Tasting notes

Paraje Las Encebras boasts an intense and brilliant golden color.

On the nose, it is dominated by notes of aromatic herbs (chamomile flower) and ripe pineapple.

In the tasting phase, the aromas previously detected on the nose are present. Light and with polished tannins.

The winery

Viña Elena, a winery founded in 1948, has evolved in terms of technology while maintaining respect for heritage and family tradition. A firm that operates with the experience of 4 generations in constant evolution. Currently, this winery is led by Elena Pacheco, who, together with her friend Isio Ramos, has launched the project Bruma del Estrecho de Marín, conceived to produce single-vineyard wines with the monastrell variety.
Viña Elena has a total of 400 hectares of vineyards, 100 of which are owned by the winery. Additionally, the winery has expanded its product range to include extra virgin olive oil and almonds from its own production. In this way, alongside the vineyards, it completes the “trilogy” of traditional farming in the Murcian highlands.
