General Information

The great quality of Néctar Pedro Ximénez, supported by an aging process of 9 years in American oak barrels, earned it the Gold Medal at the prestigious Mundus Vini competition in 2017.

To craft this ideal dessert wine, González Byass selected the finest Pedro Ximénez grapes grown in their vineyards of the Carrascal and Macharnudo estates, considered among the highest quality in the entire Marco de Jerez. The 9-year aging in American oak barrels, following the traditional solera and criaderas system, did the rest, resulting in a sweet wine with great aromatic richness and a smooth, velvety palate. Not to be missed.

Tasting notes

Wine of intense ebony color with iodized reflections.

Nose of great richness in which sweet aromas of dried and raisined fruits (raisins, figs, dates) dominate, accompanied by notes of honey, arrope, and candied compote. Toasted, roasted tones (coffee, dark chocolate, and cocoa) and licorice appear as it ages.

On the palate, it is velvety and unctuous. The acidity mitigates its sweetness and alcohol content. Very long and flavorful finish.
