A true classic since its creation by Manuel Manzaneque in 1992, Manuel Manzaneque Chardonnay has been relaunched on the market by the winery of his son ¡Ea! Manuel Manzaneque Suárez, Winemaker and Viticulturist. Manuel Manzaneque Chardonnay 2024 is a single-varietal Chardonnay from vines over 30 years old, located on a 0.9-hectare plot at an altitude of 1080 meters. Partially aged in barrel, it is a complex white wine in a limited edition that pairs well with oily fish, white meats, and salads.
Manuel Manzaneque Chardonnay 2024 is a single-varietal white wine made in homage to the winemaker Don Manuel Manzaneque, who created it in the early 90s. Today, it returns to the market as part of the catalog of his son, Manuel Manzaneque Suárez.
After serving as the technical director of the family winery for a decade, Manuel Manzaneque Suárez decided, together with his wife Paloma Mínguez, to embark on his own solo project. Under the name ¡Ea! Manuel Manzaneque Suárez Enólogo y Viticultor, he began producing wines with an excellent quality-price ratio, belonging to the denominations of origin La Mancha and Valencia, as well as V.T. Castilla, such as this Manuel Manzaneque Chardonnay 2024 that the Club proposes to you.
To craft it, a peculiar fermentation of the must was carried out in the press for 8 hours. Following this, fermentation began in stainless steel tanks with native yeasts at a temperature of 16 ºC, and subsequently in a Stockinger barrel with very light toasting. 60% of the wine underwent 8 months of aging in barrels with weekly batonnage, while the remaining 40% rested in stainless steel tanks to preserve the fruity aromas. The result is a chardonnay distinguished by its complexity, pairing well with white meats such as poultry and pork. It also pairs with oily fish and salads.
