Fontana Cuvée Celadón 2024 is an organic white wine, full of liveliness, made from verdejo and sauvignon blanc grapes from vineyards located between 750 and 775 meters above sea level on clay-limestone soils. Belonging to the D.O. Uclés, this early harvest white wine has spent over 6 months aging on its lees. A fresh, structured wine with pronounced aromatic expressiveness.
Fontana Cuvée Celadón 2024 is born on the 400-hectare estate cultivated by Bodegas Fontana in Fuente de Pedro Naharro (Cuenca), within the D.O. Uclés. The vineyards, set on clay-limestone soils and located between 750 and 775 meters above sea level, benefit from a continental climate softened by the altitude, allowing for concentrated grapes with excellent natural acidity. The viticulture is organic and sustainable, adapting each variety to its specific plot to achieve a perfect balance between fruit, freshness, and varietal character.
The two varieties are harvested early to preserve their aromatic intensity and freshness. After destemming, the must undergoes cold maceration to extract its potential. Fermentation is carried out separately at a low temperature, and subsequently, the wine remains on its lees for more than 6 months, gaining body, complexity, and persistence before bottling.
Bodegas Fontana, owned by the Cantarero family and located in Uclés, is a benchmark in sustainability and precision viticulture. The winery works with specific plots for single-estate wines, supported by Península Vinicultores and advised by Andreas Kubach MW, with an innovative and environmentally respectful technical approach. Their project integrates plot research, exemplary organic management, and a winery equipped for differentiated vinifications, reflected in the purity and finesse of the Cuvée range.
Fontana Cuvée Celadón 2024 pairs perfectly with white fish, seafood, light Asian cuisine, fresh salads, soft cheeses, and Mediterranean rice dishes.
