General Information

Finca La Colina Sauvignon Blanc 2022 is made from grapes sourced from the best and oldest sauvignon blanc vineyard in the D.O. Rueda: Finca La Colina, where the first vines of this variety were planted in 1980. A wine that stands out each vintage as the best Spanish sauvignon blanc and boasts an impressive collection of international awards.

A white wine crafted by Vinos Sanz, a winery that deserves a place of honor in terms of quality and consistency. The key to its success lies in the vineyard. It owns one of the most coveted vineyards in Rueda: Finca La Colina, a plot cultivated in one of the highest and coldest areas of the appellation, where the grape develops under extraordinary conditions.

Finca La Colina Sauvignon Blanc 2022 (D.O. Rueda) is ideal as a companion to grilled or baked fish, rice dishes, or ravioli stuffed with foie gras.

In addition to being the oldest winery in Rueda, Vinos Sanz is an essential name to understand the enormous development that this Castilian-Leonese denomination has experienced in recent decades. Founded in 1870 in La Seca (Valladolid), it was the first winery to unconditionally bet on verdejo, today considered one of the best white grape varieties in the world. Currently, the winery is managed by the sixth generation of the family and is in the midst of a commercial expansion process to conquer new markets.

Vinos Sanz bases its philosophy on preserving the maximum expression of the vineyard and meticulously caring for the winemaking process. In addition to verdejo, the undisputed queen of Rueda, the winery also cultivates sauvignon blanc – the second most important variety in the area – across its more than 100 hectares of vineyards, mostly located in Finca La Colina. This plot, with unbeatable conditions for grape growing, produces the raw material for two of the best white wines made in this country: Finca La Colina 100 x 100 Verdejo and Finca La Colina Sauvignon Blanc.
