Concours Mondial du Sauvignon

Organized by the company Vinopress since 1994, the Concours Mondial du Sauvignon is a competition open to all wines made primarily with the white grape sauvignon blanc from anywhere in the world. Originally held in Bordeaux, it is now an itinerant competition that has taken place in Italy, and in 2016 celebrates its 7th edition in Rueda (Valladolid, Spain).
Jury
Formed by tasters of different nationalities (France, Belgium, England, Switzerland, Germany, Spain, Italy, Chile, New Zealand, etc.).
Contestants
Wines primarily made from the white grape sauvignon blanc from anywhere in the world.
Awards
Grandes medallas de oro, gold and silver medals. Additionally, the Concours Mondial du Sauvignon awards special trophies to wines that have achieved the highest score in the following categories: Révélation Sauvignon without oak, Révélation Sauvignon in oak, Révélation Blend based on Sauvignon without oak, and Révélation Blend based on Sauvignon in oak.
