Fruit of sustainable viticulture, Dominio de Fontana Garnacha & Syrah 2021 originates from a selected handful of vineyards from the Santa Cruz and Cueva plots, terroirs of the D.O. Uclés, located at an altitude between 700 and 900 meters above sea level.
In this coupage, Bodegas Fontana strives to preserve the unique character of the two varieties that compose it, the native garnacha and the foreign syrah, the latter perfectly adapted to Castilian lands. Both were vinified separately, in an artisanal production, whose proportion varies from harvest to harvest, with the sole objective of achieving a harmonious and rounded red wine, with pleasant freshness and fruity intensity, like this Dominio de Fontana Garnacha & Syrah 2021 that the Club suggests to you. Tasting notes
In appearance, Dominio de Fontana Garnacha & Syrah presents a beautiful ruby color with a violet rim.
On the nose, it is expressive, combining the spicy aromas typical of garnacha with herbaceous and blackberry notes provided by syrah.
Medium-bodied, on the palate it is fleshy and round, with firm tannins that give it a good final persistence.
The winery
The winery is a family project with over 30 years of history, which has earned the trust of consumers thanks to its consistent track record. Bodegas Fontana, owned by the Cantarero family, has 600 hectares of its own vineyards located between Baja Alcarria and Mancha Alta in Toledo and produces under the denominations of origin La Mancha and Uclés.
