Château de Pez luce un bello color violáceo, cubierto de capa. Nariz compleja donde destacan las notas ligeramente tostadas junto a aromas de frutas rojas y negras y toques de compota (señal de la madurez de la uva). Aparecen al fondo aromas especiados y tabaco. En boca es un vino sólido y profundo, su evolución demuestra una gran riqueza en boca. Tanino sedoso, persistente pero sin agresividad, y bien redondeado.
