General Information

Vineyards of Garnacha grown on slate soils, Cariñena planted on clay soils, and Syrah from limestone soils form the base of Can Blau 2022, a red wine of great complexity that has aged in French oak barrels for 12 months. Among the qualities of this Montsant red, its fruity aromas, power, meatiness, and concentration stand out.

Cellers Can Blau was founded in 2003 and is one of the oldest projects of the Gil family outside Jumilla. The winery is located in El Molar, in the heart of the D.O. Montsant. The company works with the varieties Cariñena, Syrah, and Garnacha, grown in soils of different orientation, composition, and altitude, resulting in wines with great richness and complexity.

The structure, fruit, and depth of Can Blau 2022 make it a very versatile red wine that pairs perfectly with rice dishes with game meat and creamy textures, grilled and pan-seared white and red meats, stewed legumes, cured and blue cheeses, mushrooms, game and poultry, fish and seafood in sauce, smoked dishes, roasted lamb, pork, and beef.
